Sahodaran is Chennai’s first and largest Community-Based Organization (CBO) run by and for Men who have Sex with Men (MSM). Since 1996, they have supported MSM from low-income backgrounds by integrating HIV/AIDS prevention and care services with social support, counseling, and crisis intervention. Over the past decade, they have empowered MSM and transgender women to become leaders in their communities, fostering the creation of their own CBOs. The organization envisions a world where all sexual minorities can reach their full potential and safely access their social entitlements, free from violence and stigma.
