Your online transaction on Milaap is secure with the highest levels of transaction security currently available on the Internet. Milaap uses 256-bit encryption technology to protect your card information while securely transmitting it to the respective banks for payment processing.
Milaap charges NO platform fees on donations. We have a 0% platform fee. We rely on the generosity of our users to power the platform.
We’d like to assure you that your donation reaches the beneficiary as we have several parameters in place for that. Firstly, the moment you make a donation, a mail goes out to the organizer, and later you receive periodical emails whenever they post an update.
We make sure that funds are transferred to the beneficiary against relevant documents, bills/invoices, and that an update is posted on the fundraiser page to maintain trust and transparency.
Only donations made to fundraisers that are set up by legally registered non-profits (NGOs) or charities may be considered eligible for donors to claim as a tax deduction. Look for a note ’80G tax benefits for INR donations’ below the ‘Donate Now’ button on the fundraiser. You can also filter for fundraisers with tax benefits on the listing page here
Milaap is not an NGO and is only a custodian of funds hence can not provide tax exemption.
If you have donated to a fundraiser that provides tax exemption, you can download the tax receipt from your dashboard. To do so, you will have to log in to your Milaap account using your email ID or registered mobile number and then visit your dashboard to download tax receipts.
